Postby Johneames » Thu Dec 21, 2017 10:43 am

All hardware has been tested to work 100% on a my Windows partition. On my fresh install of Mint 17.3, updates/upgrades, I initially had no sound on my system whatsoever.

After installing proprietary AMD drivers (fglrx-updates from the driver manager), the audio start working out of my video card. (i.e. speakers coming out of computer monitor.) Audio still didn't function out of the motherboard back I/O or audio port on the front panel.

I tried installing the proprietary realtek audio drivers, but it failed at the configure command. Trying it later, it would work (absolutely no clue why) but it failed at the step where I had to use make

Please Help.
